New Music Eckernförde

Vibrant, charming, and with conviction, the concert series and festival Neue Musik Eckernförde dedicate themselves to the new and the unknown in music — shaping the musical present in the far north for almost 25 years.

„Live and in Color“

The great joy of experimentation and the enthusiasm for an intense engagement with the present is reflected in concerts where the audience can experience "live and in color" the creation of sounds, the application of new playing techniques, or unknown instruments – directly and up close.

Avantgarde & Tradition

In mostly moderated concerts, the series presents its audience with new, current, and experimental music by both young and established composers. It is a place for world premieres, while its programs also repeatedly connect New Music with Early Music – and the avant-garde with the tradition from which it emerges.
